In process of upgrading existing 4.6.2 CAG to 5.0.4 to utilise smarthost groups- came across some issues in the process. SSL Cert was another issue.
Backgound infor : Current environment WI 5.4 farm or 2 servers, 2003 XenApp5, also have a 2008R2 XenApp 6.5 farm. Planning to make XenApp5 the legacy apps server.
However came across this error - whilst using the native client.

Cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server.
Socket Operation on non-socket
When I used the Java Client all it did was hang halfway thru lauching a published app.
I fixed the issue by adding extra ports in the "ICA Access Control of List" - under Session reliability protocol. I added ports 80,8080 and 443. Plan to remove unessessary ports with further testing, have a feeling I just need port 80.
Once this was added, published apps laucned as per normal on both clients ( Java / Reciever 3 ) Have not tested with Ipads or mobile devices as yet.
Cant believe I spent a week getting 5.04 the the stage where out 4.6.2 CAG is at.
